TERA’s new office will be open for Party in the Pines in Whitmire. We will have mission information crafts and some other neat activities for the event. Be sure to stop by during the festival and see us at our new office, 213 Railroad Ave, just beside Baker and Sons at the end of main.

May 24, 25, 2013 - BanjoBque

June 16 - Mighty Moo Festival in Cowpens, SC

June 9th and 10th - Enoree River Float / Camp

TERA will be taking an overnight float / camp on the Enoree River. There are also spots left for this event. Contact Jon Durham @ riverkeeper@jondurham.net

 

June 2nd and 3rd - Tyger River Float / Camp

May 25th & 26th - Banjo and Bar B Que Festival, Evans GA

The TERA tent will be at The Banjo and Bar B Que Festival in Evans GA, right across the river from North Augusta. The event features Drive by Truckers and Old Crow Medicine Show among many other fine acts. Visit http://banjobque.com/info-festival-info.php Camping is available.

 

May 18th & 19th - Red Rose Festival in Lancaster, SC

February 13th - Meteorite lands!

On February 13th, 2012,  a meteorite that was recorded over NC and SC is believed to have fragmented and landed south of Whitmire in the Sumter National Forest. TERA is working with the USFS to try and find fragments of the meteorite. Anyone interested in joining a group search, call Jon @ (252) 292 1704

 

November 5th - Waccamaw Waterfowl Expo

TERA will be at the Waccamaw Waterfowl Expo on November 5th at the Waccamaw Wildlife Refuge visitor center in Georgetown, SC.  We will be promoting the Shot Shell Mitigation program. There will be all sorts of vendorsand exhibits so come enjoy a day in the Low Country.

 

July 5th - Pepsi Refresh America Voting Begins

On July 5th, voting for the Pepsi Refresh America grants will open. TERA is one of the grant contestants in the $50K category to fund Camp TERA, a clean energy project in the Sumter National Forest.  Everyone can vote once a day for our project for the entire month of July.  Be sure to vote for us everyday!  We will be posting up links to the voting pages once the voting open. Stay tuned.

 

June 15th - Clemson University Seminar on viability of Eco Tourism in the Sumter National Forest

TERA will be attending a seminar presenting the results of a Clemson University Study on the viability of eco tourism in the Sumter National Forest.

 

June 4 - Sugar Creek / Carolina Thread Trail Sweep

On Saturday June 4th,  TERA memebers joined with Wells Fargo volunteers and the SC Land Trust to sweep Sugar Creek in Fort Mill, SC, along the Carolina Thread Trail. There were over 100 tires removed from a very short stretch of the creek,  along with household refuse and plastic litter.

 

May 21 - River Sweep!

On Saturday May 21,  The Tyger Enoree River Alliance will be partnering with The Enoree Watershed Association, Palmetto Pride and the US Forest Service for River Sweep, 2011. Our sweep area will cover the Tyger River from Beatty’s bridge to the Broad river. Interested Parties contact Jon Durham at riverkeeper@jondurham.net

 

April 10 - TERA Benefit Show / Cook Out

On Sunday, April 10, there will be a benefit show for The Tyger Enoree River Alliance at the Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill, SC. There will be performances by Jon DurhamCurt Collins and a TBA group.  There will be a cook out beginning at 1:00 p.m. and an afternoon of great live music.  Advance tickets will be offered through this web site or directly from TERA members. April 2 - TERA at the Newberry Observer

On Saturday, April 2,  the TERA tent will be set up at the Newberry Observer parking lot during the spring BBQ chicken cook out and community sale. Come on by the Newberry Observer on Main, downtown Newberry, and have some great BBQ chicken and pick up a TERA T-shirt, decal and get yourself a raffle ticket for the Fender CD60 guitar we will be raffling on April 10th.

 

March 26 - TERA at Lawson’s Outfitters

Saturday March 26, we will be at Lawson’s Outfitters in Clinton,SC with new merchandise including TERA decals, T Shirts and raffle tickets for the April 10th event

 

March 19 - TERA at The Estate House

On Saturday, March 19, we will be at the Estate House in Newberry, SC on the Corner of College and First street.  Stop by and say hello and get a TERA bumper sticker or T Shirt.
